Hey There
Hi, I'm Paul and I am the chief videographer at Moxie Films, which is part of the Moxie Media UK Company. I just wanted to share a little bit about how I became a videographer.

All About Me
Back in 2004 (at the age of 20) I was part of a youth group who had decided to raise money for the slums, or Favelas, in Brazil. As part of this fundraising effort we decided to produce a video, which we could take over with us. With a youthful passion my hand shot right up and I right there became the producer and director of my very first feature film.

The poverty I witnessed over in Brazil was a real eye opener, and I believe it changed me forever. I'll never forget walking into a small building, which I can only really describe as a tin shed, and finding a family of nine living in there. This shed was no bigger than the average sized kitchen with nine people eating, sleeping and well, living in it.

I produced the film from scratch and even took on the role of casting the young people who were in it. When we played the film in Brazil it was received with a standing ovation and still remains to this day as one of the most emotional evenings of my life.

I continued to be involved with the youth group until I left in 2006 after we had been to Brazil in 2005.
In the years of 2006 and 2007 I was forced to take a break from my hobby of video making after being flooded twice in a month (to knee level) and losing my best friend and cousin in a period of about 18 months. Despite these bad times I believe it made me a stronger person.

So we fast forward a little to 2008/2009 where my cousin Stuart was planning a memorial day for his brother Adam, and just like in the build up to Brazil, my hand went up and I offered my services for my cousins memory. I was back doing what I enjoyed most......videography.

In May 2009 we held the first Adam Millichip Memorial Golf Challenge and I was one of the four organisers who created the day. In that year alone, in just one day, we raised over £7000 for two local charities (Aid for Aspergers, which was set up in memory of my best friend, and the Tenbury Wells and district Round table).

In November 2010 we started up our own charity in memory of my cousin Adam, of which I was a trustee. For the golf day, which is (at the time of writing - May 2015) about to have it's 6th year, I produce a video with my friend and colleague at bit4bit.co.uk. Every year except the first year we film, edit and present this video all on the day itself. Although a big challenge we manage to create something bigger and better every single year and have real fun making it too. To improve on previous years and challenge ourselves that little bit more this year (2015) we are introducing a drome camera and time-lapse footage as well as our usual interviews and sports shots.

As part of my work with the Adam Millichip Foundation I have produced many videos to encourage fundraising, reports on who we have helped and others. These can all be found on our Vimeo site along with the Adam Millichip Foundation website. Although I have now left the Foundation as a trustee (as of June 2014) I am still supporting them with video productions at no charge to the charity.
My decision to leave my family charity was not taken lightly and it was with a somewhat heavy heart, but I felt it was time to step out on my own professionally. I'd been producing videos for over 10 years as a hobby, but I felt it was time to take it further.

In the summer of 2014 I was invited to a friends wedding in London (strangely enough he was born on the same day as me, in the same hospital - maybe something was written in the stars?). His Mother asked me to simply take some footage on her small camera and once again, my hand shot up and I agreed to do it.
While I was editing this video for my friend and his new wife, I thought to myself "This is such a beautiful video, and they will have the memories of their wedding to keep forever." That was it, I was sold. Wedding and event videography was going to be my new career path.

So here I am in 2015, after several professional grade weddings under my belt, ready to take my experience in videography to help wedding couples across the country, along with any other event that comes my way. This includes B:Fest 2015 in Tenbury Wells, which is my third music festival.

I am, Mr Director, Moxie Films.
